Mastercard Nigeria was the first project where I had the honour to work with a brand targeting a Nigerian audience. Having never been in Nigeria myself, this presented a few unique challenges.
We wanted to be sensitive to the culture and not reinforce tired stereotypes in our designs. We researched and bounced designs back and forth to the agency and the brand, in the end we ended up with something that pays homage to the wide and rich culture of Nigeria while being broadly approachable.
